A Lot of Problems & Purposes
I have a lot of things I would like to do!...problem is we have so little time for this semester. I've starred the one I prefer to do, but if it does not work out I will refer to the community problem of preference. What do you think?
Problem #1: There’s a lack of proper sexual education and understanding for young adolescents
which leaves them unprepared when the situation is at hand.
Purpose: Develop a better curriculum of sexual health & wellness on a comfortable, open
space, relative and useful level.
Pros: I know plenty of experts that can help with this project.
Cons: This also tackles religious and conservative issues.
🌟Problem #2: Packaging of groceries should be able to keep the products fresh and clean but
also safe for the environment regardless of which country
Purpose: Reduce plastic dependency on our daily groceries while keeping the products longer
lasting and fresh
Pros: I’m obsessed with packaging and am still curious to learn the nature of plastic.
Cons: I don’t know any plastic packaging experts who specially cater to the food & agriculture
industry.
Problem #3: Light pollution is not acknowledged enough as other polluting factors, but it is an
environmental issue that affects both wildlife and humans if not implemented
properly.
Purpose: Design light products that is environmentally sensible and doesn’t negatively affect
the surroundings and the beings within the light’s surroundings.
Pros: I love working on lighting projects and lighting related things, also did a bit of research in
GEOG 600.
Cons: Lighting projects are expensive.
🌟Community Problem #1: “All One Ocean” There’s a need to educate and encourage the
reduction of littering through awareness and products that people can use.
Community Purpose: Allow beach goers to be conscious of their waste and assist in preventing
litter from polluting the oceans enough as it is.
Community Problem #2: Library has a need to provide a space for napping
Community Purpose: To provide a safe yet restful space as well as giving the space meant for
studying to be kept for studying
Community Problem #3: Basic Needs Initiatives is finding ways to mitigate the impact of
housing and feeding instability
Community Purpose: Accommodate students with basic human needs such as safety, shelter,
transportation, and food
